Description:
|
Working as part of a team, the responsibilities of the Wireless Network
Engineer/Technician will include:
- Surveying, designing, installing and configuring network hardware and software at customer sites
- Handling support queries from customers (and our staff) pertaining to network issues
- Contributing to the development of network equipment, software and services
- While direct experience in the above areas is essential, a keen attitude, flexibility, professional communication skills and a real desire to work in the wireless business are also key factors. Knowledge of Motorola, Bridgewave, Dragonwave, Lightpointe, HP Procurve and Cisco is a plus.
- Position will require moderate construction style work that includes climbing ladders and towers, lifting heavy equipment, running network cables, terminating miscellaneous cables, reading technical documents, operating tools and machinery. Applicant must also be flexible to work hours as projects need to be completed in a timely manner and according to customer availability. Applicant will be responsible to install and support WLAN and WWAN equipment.

Requirements:
|
- Networking topologies
- Advanced wireless/RF principles
- Applicant must have a min. of 2-3 years of wireless experience and must possess strong Ethernet skills.
- Experience with Switches and Routers a plus.
- Multilingual in Spanish and tower climbing also a plus.
- Hands on technical outdoor wireless installation experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.
- Understanding of general construction principals both on the ground and on a tower.
- Self directed, self starter willing to take initiative.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Applicant must be open to traveling 50% territory Northern & Southern California
- Must possess a valid CA driver’s license with good driving record.
