Description:
|
Working as part of
a team, the responsibilities of the Wireless Network Engineer/Technician will
include:
- Surveying,
installing and configuring network hardware and software at customer
sites
- While
direct experience in the above areas is essential, a keen attitude,
flexibility, professional communication skills and a real desire to work
in the wireless business are also key factors. Knowledge of Motorola,
Bridgewave, Dragonwave, Lightpointe, HP Procurve and Cisco is a plus.
- Position
will require construction style work that includes climbing ladders and
towers, lifting heavy equipment, running network cables, terminating
miscellaneous cables, reading technical documents, operating tools and
machinery. Applicant must also be flexible to work hours as projects
need to be completed in a timely manner and according to customer availability.
Applicant will be responsible to install and support WLAN and WWAN
equipment.
WirelessGuys will
provide laptop, service van, cell phone, Spectrum Analyzer, Fluke Analyzer,
Airmagnet Survey Pro & Analyzer and complete set of tools

Requirements:
|
- Applicant must have a min. of 2-3 years of wireless
experience and must possess moderate Ethernet skills.
- Multilingual in Spanish a plus
- Tower climbing also a plus.
- Hands on technical outdoor wireless installation experience
preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
are a must.
- Understanding of general construction principals both on the
ground and on a tower.
- Self directed, self starter willing to take initiative.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Applicant must be open to traveling 60% in Southern
California and 20% in Northern California.
- Must possess a valid CA driver’s license with clean
driving record.
- Must be willing to work as a team player and communicate well
with others.
